Campaigning groups

Better Than Zero campaigns to end zero hours contracts in Scotland, by taking action against exploitative employers and educating workers to organise in their workplace.

The Bakers Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU) is the largest independent Trade Union in the food sector, and has supported workers for over 150 years.

The Independent Workers of Great Britain is a trade union that represents that low-paid workers in the so-called "gig economy", who may or may not be on zero hours contracts.

Excluded UK is a grassroots volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation working towards bringing about an end to the exclusions in the UK Government’s Covid-19 financial support measures across all employment statuses, circumstances, professions and industries.

The Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) is a network of independent food aid providers who campaign for a country without the need for charitable food aid, where good food is affordable to all. They promote a cash first approach to food insecurity which prioritizes income-based solutions over relying on charitable food parcels.

Christians Against Poverty can provide support if you are in debt and can help you to manage them.

Just For Kids offers legal representation to children and may be able to help if you are 16-18 years acold and on a zero hours contract.

Universal Credit Action Network is a forum that brings together trade unionists, welfare rights and debt experts, Tenants and Residents Associations and anyone interested in organising campaigns agains the cause of poverty in Britain and raises awareness for wider public benefit.

The TEFL Workers' Union is a union for people teaching English as a Foreign Language. They have recently launched their own information page for TEFL workers on zero hours contracts.
